An input device is an electromechanical device that accepts data from outside world and translates them into a from a computer can interpret.It is a piece of equipment used to provide data and control signals to an information processing system.

It is an input system that helps to point and select an icon to be shown on the screen quickly.

A digitizer is a machine that converts an analog object,image or signal into a digital(computer-readable) format.

Modern card readers are electronic devices that can read plastic cards embedded with either a barcode, magnetic strip, computer chip or another storage medium.

A printer is a device that accepts text and graphic output from a computer and transfers the information to paper.

    A printer that uses hammers and a ribbon to form images from dots.

    It is a computer peripheral that produces hard copy by spraying ink into paper.
  3. Drum Printers
    A line printer that uses a rotating drum with raised characters, against which the paper is pressed. Drum printers are line printers that print an entire line at a time.  
  4. Chain/Band Printers
    An early line printer that used type slugs linked together in a chain as its printing mechanism. Chain/Band printers are line printers that print one line at a time.
  5. Laser Printers
    It is a popular type of personal computer printer that uses a non-impact,photocopier technology.


A plotter is a printer that interprets commands from a computer to make line drawing on paper with one or more automated pens.It is used to print graphical output on paper.

  1. Drum Plotter
    A type of pen plotter that wraps the paper around a drum with a pin feed attachment.
  2. Flatbed Plotter
    A graphics plotter that contains a flat surface that the paper is placed on.

A projector or image projector is an optical device that projects an image onto a surface, commonly a projection screen.

Voice response system

It is a specialized technologies designed for providing callers with verbal and faxed answers to inquiries without assistance from a person.

  2. Speech Synthesizer
    A speech synthesizer converts text information into spoken sentences, To produce speech, it combines basic sound units called phonemes.
